The director of QSI International School of Haiphong is Mr. Sidney Rodnunsky. He and his wife, Tess, originate from Canada, where they were educators before deciding to teach internationally. They come to Haiphong with their children.

Mr. Rodnunsky earned his Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta (Canada), his Master of Education from the University of Calgary, his Law degree from the University of Alberta, his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of the State of New York,his Master of Business Administration through studies from the University of Alberta and Greenwich University and his Graduate Diploma in Educational Policy and Administrative Studies with a specialty in Human Resource Administration from the University of Calgary. He is called to the bars of Alberta and Saskatchewan and has received his designation as a Barrister and Solicitor. He has completed further postgraduate study in history, psychology, special education, computer education, health education, criminal and trial advocacy, reading methodology, recent developments in education, advanced social studies curriculum and instruction, therapeutic counseling, and the teaching of secondary mathematics, at the University of Nevada, Reno, the University of the State of New York, the University of Calgary, University of California, Berkeley, Liberty University,

Muskatchees Cultural College, and Chapman University. He served as a sitting Justice of the Peace in the Territory of Nunavut and has been granted the Professional Manager designation by the Canadian Institute of Management. He has been credentialed as a teacher and administrator in Canada and the United States

and has taught in every grade from kindergarten through Grade 12. He first became a teacher in 1966 and became a principal in 1968. He states that he enjoys teaching and being a school principal now just as much as he did at the beginning of his career and never wants to retire.

He has many interests including the needs of gifted children. In this respect, he served as Coordinator of Gifted Children for Mensa Canada. He also served on the National Board of Mensa Canada and as Ombudsman for Mensa Canada.

Mrs. Rodnunsky was originally educated as a midwife and became Board Certified as a Registered Midwife in the Philippines after studies at Urdaneta Community College. Thereafter, she lived in Hong Kong for 5 years and then came to Canada in 1988. She continued her education and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Eastern Illinois University. Thereafter, she did postgraduate studies and teacher training at Rio Salado College of Arizona, Nunavut Arctic College, and the University of San Diego, receiving her Canadian teaching credential thereafter. She taught in Canada for 5 years and then came to our school in Haiphong to teach for her 6th year. She has taught at all levels from kindergarten to senior high school.

A focus on the development of the whole child is the base of their beliefs in education.
